Faculty Development Programmes

MIMT continuously upgrades the knowledge and skills of the faculty members in various institutions under its umbrella. For this, various Faculty Development Programmes are regularly organised viz., Orientation Programmes, Effectiveness Programmes, Domain Refresher Programmes and Specialized Programmes.

Personalized Attention or System of education:

Semester System : MIMT follows a Semester System which is in conformity with the global practices and standards. The Course curriculum of one year is taught into two semester i.e.,17-18 weeks each. Semester system promotes greater interaction between faculty members and students and also permits more meaningful term paper and research assignments.

Internal Evaluation System : The scheme of examinations & evaluation is one of the most important components of judging the academic performance and development of the students. Therefore, in MIMT the students are assessed at regular intervals. 15% weightage is given to continuous/internal assessment in a semester. It covers Class Test, Viva, Quiz, Case Discussion / Presentation / Analysis, Home Assignment, Project, Seminar, Term Paper, Attendance etc.

100% Attendance:Every student in MIMT is required to achieve 100% attendance in all the Lectures, Tutorials, Practical and Seminars arranged for the respective course during the semester. However, a relaxation up to a maximum of 25% is granted in case of contingencies. A minimum of 75% attendance is required to appear in the examinations. 100% attendance criteria ensure academic excellence, disciplinary approach and growth of the student.

Personality Development: Enhancing Confidence to Stay Ahead

Personality Development is a focus area at MIMT because a great percentage of success in life depends on a person's confidence and personality. To help students in personal grooming, special sessions are held on business etiquettes, negotiation skills and effective communication. Special classes are held on leadership, teamwork and analytical skills. The methodology followed is by presentation and discussion of techniques for gaining competitive edge, practice of public speaking and group discussion techniques and individual attention through mock interviews.

INFRASTRUCTURE:

As part of this Endeavour, we have comfortable classrooms that provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions.

College Campus: The College is being operating in its own building at police lines station Road Narsinghpur. The new campus of institution is calm, scenic and appropriate academic atmosphere for study. The distance of Railway station is 1 K.M. and bus stand is 0.5 (half) K.M. from the college campus. There is sufficient arrangement of lecture rooms, seminar hall, lab, library reading room pure drinking water and toilets in the new building of the college. There is a vast play ground in the college campus for the cultural and sports activities and the training for different sports is provided by our trained coach.

Laboratories: In the college campus, full-fledged laboratories of Computers, Computer lab  Science Lab, ET Lab, Language Lab,  psychology lab Seminar Hall have been established. The computer lab is fully air conditioned and equipped with all the modern/latest machines where the fastest internet facility is always available for the students. All other laboratories are well equipped with modern equipments according to the syllabus.

Library: In the college campus there is a facility of well arranged library and reading room. The library has all the required books for various subjects in sufficient number and new books are purchased every year according to the new syllabus. Library card is essential for each student. The college reading room has all the fortnightly and monthly magazines besides Hindi and English editions of popular news papers.

MIMT beyond education:

Sports and Games: The College has provided all the arrangement for the famous indoor and outdoor games prevailing in our country. In the college essential equipments and ground is available for various sports like cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, badminton and chess etc.. The permanent sport officer has been appointed in the college. Annual sports competition is being organized every year in the college. The students of this college have established many records during the 15 years at the state and national level.

Cultural Activities: College provides encouragement to cultural activities along with academic and sports activities for the overall development of the students. We organize youth festival, Independence Day, Republic day, birth and death anniversary of Legendary Personalities and during the annual day we provide exclusive motivation awards to the students. College has constituted separate cultural wing for the continuous encouragement of cultural activities. In session 2013-14, the college drama team represented RDVV Jabalpur at national level in kurukshetra university Haryana by achieving first place in central zone.
